About me

My first camera was a Zenit 35mm camera given to me at the age of 16 by my grandfather who introduced me to photography.  I still have a Canon EOS 620 which I used up until I purchased my first digital camera around 2000. I am an active member of Malden Camera Club where I am currently Chairman. I have had some of my work published in local papers and magazines including Surrey Life.  I have also done a number of commissions including portraits, macro, sports.

In the longer term I would like to achieve a BA Degree in Photography and as a first step I have enrolled in the Art of Photography Course.  My scientific background helps support my technical skills. I am interested in learning more about composition and the artistic aspects of photography. I am also looking for the course to provide more focus and discipline to the way in which I create images and a better understanding of the art of photography.
